The Original Chex Mix recipe is a classic finger food addition to any party’s spread!

My mother-in-law, Lisa, made this savory Chex Mix snack for family gatherings when Cameron was growing up and it has always been one of his favs. Since marrying into the fam I’ve become hooked as well. I wanted an easy reference to the recipe for us so I’m posting it here. 🙂

Party Chex Mix
The Original Chex Mix recipe is a classic finger food addition to any party's spread!
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoon salted butter
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ teaspoon seasoned salt
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup mixed nuts or peanuts
- 1 cup pretzels
- 1 cup bagel chips, broken into 1" pieces (garlic flavor rec)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 250℉.
- Melt butter in large roasting pan in oven.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce & seasonings then gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
- Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 min.
- Spread on paper towels to cool before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
- You can adjust the different Chex flavors to whatever you like as long as 9 cups are used.
